Pregnancy Care Center

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the questions we hear most often. If yours is not here, you are welcome to call any of our centers or send us a message. We are happy to answer before you ever come in.

  • Are services really free? +

Yes. We do not bill insurance and we do not collect payment. Funding comes from private donations and community partners.

  • Is everything confidential? +

Yes. Conversations stay between you and our team. We follow strict confidentiality standards and we will not share information without your permission.

  • Can I bring someone with me? +

Absolutely. You are welcome to bring a partner, parent, sibling, friend, or anyone you trust.

  • How soon can I take a pregnancy test? +

For the most reliable result, we recommend testing at least one day after a missed period. The longer you wait, the more accurate the result.

  • Why should I get an ultrasound? +

An ultrasound confirms whether there is a heartbeat, how far along you are, and where the pregnancy is located. A pregnancy test alone cannot tell you any of those three things.

  • Do you provide or refer for abortions? +

No. We are a non-profit pregnancy resource center, not a medical clinic. We do not provide or refer for abortion services. We do offer accurate information about every option, including abortion, so you can think it through clearly.

  • Do I need an appointment? +

Yes, appointments help us give you our full attention in a private space. Walk-ins may be accommodated when staffing allows, but booking ahead is best.

  • Do you serve people of all backgrounds? +

Yes. We serve women and families regardless of religion, marital status, immigration status, insurance status, or income. Everyone gets the same level of care.

  • What languages do you serve? +

Our centers serve clients in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. If you speak another language, we have translation tools to help, so please reach out no matter what language you speak. Let us know your preference when you book.
