Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the cornerstone of this ministry.   We are currently in need of volunteers to answer the phones and to be peer counselors in our Lawrence Satellite Center (bi-lingual a plus).  If you are looking to get involved in saving lives and can commit to 4 hours, one day a week, there are many opportunities to serve.  Please call Carol at 978.373.5700 for more information.

Board of Directors

The Board is a spiritual covering of the PCC and directly responsible for the financial and spiritual well-being of the ministry.  They oversee the Executive Director and focus on the financial stability, direction of the organization and governing the policies and procedures.

Peer Counselor

A PCC peer counselor reaches out to women with the compassion of Christ by offering pro-life, practical assistance in both word and deed as a one-on-one caring helper.  They listen, educate, intervene with communication skills, and provide a source of physical, emotional and spiritual hope for women and families that seek our free services. 

Post Abortion Counselors

Assisting women and men through a healing process in the aftermath of abortion.  Specifically, leading or co-leading a PACE (Post-Abortion Counseling & Education) group as a moderator to facilitate a small group.  PCC’s post abortion program is a 10 to 12 week Bible Study using the book, “Forgiven & Set Free” and “Healing A Father’s Heart” by Linda Cochrane. 

Receptionist

As the first point-of-contact for most of our clients, receptionists set the tone for a welcoming, confidential visit.  Specifically, the receptionist provides smooth office operations by answering the phone, making appointments and assisting with light clerical work as needed.

Hispanic Services
Spanish speaking volunteers are needed in our Haverhill and Lawrence locations.

Administrative Help

There are many opportunities to help in this area including: assisting with mailings, filing, data entry, baby bottle emptying/stuffing, and much more.

Church Liaisons
The PCC has more than 100 churches involved throughout the Merrimack Valley & Southern New Hampshire.  Your role would be to represent the Pregnancy Care Center in your local church body for special events, needs or concerns of the PCC. 

Fundraising Events

Help staff committees and events that raise financial support.  All year long there are events that require committee work as well as hands-on participation. See News and Events section for details on upcoming PCC events.

Prayer Teams
This is one of the most important opportunities available at the PCC.  We believe in the power of prayer and depend on it completely.  Commit to pray for our clients and the ministry.  A monthly prayer list is sent via email, you may pray at home on your own schedule, or form a prayer team.

Clothing Room Workers/Sorters
Help with practical needs as you serve the client personally or sort through our donations.  Donors continually give us good used clothing and furniture that we then give to the clients.  Volunteers pack gift bags for our clients, including new mom gifts and baby shower layettes.

Facilities Maintenance
The PCC has four center locations that require regular maintenance work inside and out.  From mowing the grass to painting, there are many, many opportunities to help in this area.  Volunteer some time or schedule a work group from your school or church.
